Station Eleven - Repentant Thief

Jesus promises His kingdom to the repentant thief-Wednesday 4/20/11

Luke 23:39-43 ESV
One of the criminals who were hanged railed at him, saying, "Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!" But the other rebuked him, saying, "Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong." And he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." And he said to him, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise."

“Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”  The words of a man of sincere belief in the almighty Savior.  Much more than belief, faith that the one who is innocently hung along his side WILL save him.  Perhaps also the other thief might be known for his belief, but faith he did not have.  “Are you not the Christ?  Save yourself and us!”  Acknowledgement falls short of faith.   James tells us, “Even the demons believe and tremble.”
May your belief never be short of faith as they are not one in the same.
